Texas

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission is helping connect job seekers with employers who provide home and community-based services.

Direct Care Careers (DCC) is a free online platform to connect people seeking work as a personal care attendant (also known as a community attendant, direct care staff, caregiver and other terms) with employers delivering home and community-based services (HCBS). HCBS provides opportunities for people to receive long-term services and support in their own home or community, rather than in a facility or isolated setting. Many programs offer HCBS, including waiver programs, Medicaid state plan benefits, and community support and services.

Employers can post job descriptions, job specifications, and other information to help find quality candidates. Prospective employees will be able to create a profile that generates a resume with work preferences, work history, specialties, and more. DCC also features training and additional resources for employers and employees.
