Connecting Oregon's Direct Care Community

The official Oregon Home and Community-Based Services Caregiver Registry. This platform provides a centralized resource for finding home and community-based services caregivers, accessing up-to-date provider information, and connecting with training, certification, and workforce resources that support Oregon’s long-term care system.

SB 1556 requires for Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) to establish and maintain an online home or community-based services caregiver registry accessible to the public. “Employer” would include the Home Care Commission, and/or an in-home care agency that hires, enters into an arrangement with or contracts with a caregiver. “Caregiver” would include a home care worker, and an individual providing in-home care services as an employee of or under an arrangement or contract with an in-home care agency.

The creation of this registry will provide access for consumers to search for a caregiver providing services within their local area/region, while ensuring up-to-date info on the provider is shown within the registry.

Requires ODHS to establish certification process for direct care providers of home or community-based services and implement online registry of direct care providers of home or community-based services.
